Kata Town is independent from the beach and interesting for different reasons. Here, the tuk tuks are small covered trucks as opposed to the three wheel variety in the rest of Thailand and negotiating a lower price for a ride is not nearly as successful.

I love the gas pump to the left. It was located in a little pullout on the side of the road.
