Wat Chiangmun or Wat Chiangman, (there is no standard for converting the Thai alphabet to the western alphabet), is the oldest temple in Chiang Mai. It was supposedly built 700 years ago by the city's founder, King Mengrai.

The main Wiharn - above left, and the Wiharn with the two Buddha. Directly below are the Library and chedi. The chedi is interesting as it is supported at its base by several elephants.

Many images of the elephants supporting the chedi, as well as an image of the Buddha inside the ordination hall.
