The, Uinta Mountains are one of the few ranges in the Rockies that run east/west instead of north/south. Kings Peak, the highest point in Utah at 13,528 ft is located hear. Its about a 60-90 minute drive from Salt Lake and the Mirror Lake highway takes you near the summit.

These are mighty old photos taken around 12 years ago. If you're wondering why I'm wearing shorts in the snow, it's because these photos were taken in July. It was in the 90's in SLC.
