Also part of the University of Utah, Red Butte Gardens is the largest botanical garden in the intermountain west. Located in the foothills at the base of the Wasatch, it is 100 acres of trails, streams, ponds and - of course - botanicals. Concerts are held here in the summer and it is an excellent place to spend a summer afternoon.
