A collection of articles and such pulled mostly from the Salt Lake Tribune.

These two headlines sort of sum up what many people were thinking. Salt Lake had been lobbying for the games for decades before they were finally given the chance to host them.
A very interesting article entitled "God's Games" written by British journalist shortly before the games. The author had a very interesting take on what it would take for Salt Lake to stage a successful Olympics. In spite of it's title, he wrote a remarkable unbiased piece.

One of my favorite comics from the event. The games took place only months after 9/11 and there was much paranoia about possible attacks, (I actually knew one person who was sending his family to Idaho for the "duration"). Beyond that, there were many who felt the games would just be a major hassle. By the end of it all, even most critics admitted the games went well.
The flag of every country that had a team in the Winter Olympics. The usual suspects are there; Canada, Denmark, Sweden, etc. but there are some surprising ones like Brazil, Cyprus & Kenya.
