2002 Winter Olympics

Dale Chihuly is a Seattle artist specializing in glass. He was the official artist of the 2002 Olympics and had a gallery set up at the Salt Lake Art Center. He also had some large scale works. His work is pretty amazing, though he is sometimes critisized because he no longer builds the pieces he designs, but has a crew of people who do most of the work. He is also an artist that is not ashamed to make a mint off of his work. His work is unique and pricey and he has permanent installations all over the world.
