2002 Winter Olympics

After the individual events, the Medals Plaza was the heart of the games. In a break from tradition, athletes participated in a short flower ceremony directly after the games but received their medals in the medals plaza that evening. That way you could see all the medal winners in a given day in one ceremony. After the medals ceremony there was a concert, complete with warm up act. Bands like the Foo Fighters, Dave Mathews Band and the Goo Goo Dolls were just a few of the headliners who performed for the games.
