The Holy Trinity Cathedral is the main cathedral for the Greek Orthodox Church in Utah. Built in 1925 it served a large Greek immigrant population who worked the mines and railroads that made the city so prosperous. The Byzantine revival church was designed by local architects Pope and Burton, working with a Greek architect out of Chicago. Apparently the Archdiocese of Salt Lake is one of the largest Greek Orthodox Parishes west of Chicago. The Greek festival is held here every year.
