The Three Brothers are a beautiful example of residential building in medieval Riga. Together the ensemble spans a 250 year period in Latvian architecture. The white home on the right dates from the end of the 15th century. It is the oldest extant structure in Riga and is known as the "eldest brother". It now houses the Latvian Museum of Architecture. The center building in its current form, dates from 1646 and the one on the left is dated to the end of the 17th century. |
