Located in Ueno Koen, The Tokyo National Museum is the oldest and largest museum in Japan. The museum houses over 110,000 items, including 87 designated National Treasures. The museum was established in 1872 and is focused on Asian art with an emphasis on Japan. Well worth a visit if you have any interest in Japanese history, art or culture.
