Located in Helsinki harbor, on the island of Korkeasaari, Helsinki Zoo can be reached by ferry or by a bridge from Mustikkamaa. I highly recommend taking the ferry. Our primary purpose at the zoo was to visit the pavilion.This lookout tower was the result of an international student competition in 2002. We had seen pictures of it at an exhibit earlier in our trip, and were anxious to see the real thing.
