Tapiola is a district in the Espoo municipality. It was designed as a garden city and was largely built in the 50's. The Tapiola Church Cemetery is a marvel of modern landscape design. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the church to which it is attached. Designed in the bleakest brutalist style, it is thoroughly uninviting and uncomfortable. Nothing like the garden-like space that is the final resting place for many of it's worshipers.
