Punkaharju is a little resort town in Eastern Finland. This is where we spent the first night of our road trip. It was here that I was introduced to absinthe (which does in fact taste like rubbing alcohol) and an authentic Finnish sauna which involves working up a tremendous sweat and then jumping naked into an icy Finnish lake. Probably not doing that again anytime soon.

Pam took the above shots of Taisto's (our fearless leader) son who was along for the ride. Craig's photos are under the moniker "New Era Photography". A nice shot of the cabin we stayed in that night.
