Otaniemi, location of the Helsinki University of Technology, the second oldest university in Finland. Established in 1849, the campus was moved from central Helsinki to the suburb of Otaniemi in 1966. Construction began on the site in 1949 and included venues for the 1950 Summer Olympics. Alvar Aalto designed much of the campus over the next 20 years.

This lovely little chapel, built in 1957, was designed by the husband and wife team of Heikki & Katri Siren.

Finnish graffiti is particularly interesting.

The conference center, Dipoli, was designed by another husband and wife team: Reima and Raili Pietilä. Reima has since passed away but I had the chance to meet Raili Pietilä. She is a friend of Taisto's and even signed a monograph of her and her husband's work for me.
