This unique looking building, designed in Finnish romanticism, is the National Museum of Finland (Suomen Kansallismuseo). It was built in 1906 and designed by three architects: Herman Gesellius, Armas Lindgren, and Eliel Saarinen. Saarinen went on to become Finland's second most famous architect next to Alvar Aalto. The museum houses cultural exhibits from Finland's prehistoric past up through the present.

The series of grandfather clocks was one of my favorite exhibits, especially the "grandmother" clock.

You see various pictures of us sketching. We did that a lot on this trip.
