Helsinki Harbor is about as picturesque a European harbor as you are likely to find. The harbor is a major Baltic port and an important part of Helsinki's history and commerce. A harbor tour is a relaxing way to spend a sunny summer afternoon in Helsinki, though you can get great views of the harbor from many places in town. Some sites, such as Suomenlinna Fortress and the Helsinki Zoo can only be accessed by a ferry across the harbor.
