The House of the Estates (Säätytalo), built in 1891, was the meeting place of the Finnish Parliament until 1907. It was built for the three common estates (a legislative body, similar to the US House and Senate). It was designed by Karl Gustav Nyström and is currently used as a venue for official functions of the office of the Prime Minister.
