This is the part of the trip that had a bit more of a traditional honeymoon feel. The Ritz-Carlton Sharm El Sheikh is a luxury resort located on the Red Sea. The property was absolutely stunning and the staff was very attentive, but one of the things that really made it unique was the quality of the snorkeling right off of the hotel's pier. There is a dive center on the property. Unfortunately, I am not certified so it was used strictly for snorkel gear. There is also a massive pool on the property, though I couldn't quite figure out why anyone would use it with the ocean right there.

The lobby wasn't the most functional, or even the most comfortable, but there was definitely some wow factor.

Look at the purdy flowers.

Below: Views of the hotel grounds. Probably some of the most beautiful grounds I've seen. Not our typical vacation digs, but it was our honeymoon after all.

I believe the flowers above are Bougainvillea. My dad had some indoors. Native to South America and not so easy to keep in a Rocky Mtn climate, even indoors.

Left: Gotta keep planning, even while relaxing. We couldn't spend the entire time on the beach. Well - OK - I guess we could have.

Kara took most of the Following shots. You would be surprised of the variety of fish that hang out around that pier. The water gets dramatically deeper right at the end of it.
