In many places the weekly market takes the place of the local grocery store. Whether by tradition, remote location or financial necessity, they supply many household staples. Luxor's Tuesday Market serves this purpose. These markets are a hub of activity on one day and then gone the next. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to visit such a market since they can be difficult to find if you aren't a local. Being so obviously foreign - we got more than a few curious stares.

	Markets are some of the best places for people watching, whether at home - or abroad.
