So normally we don't splurge on our hotel rooms. We may get one really nice hotel for a day or two but not for the entire trip. Well this was our honeymoon, so splurge we did. Obviously the Nile river cruise was pretty damn nice, but while in Cairo we stayed in one of the nicer hotels available (and ate dinner our last night at another). The Four Seasons Nile Plaza & The Mena House Oberoi are two of Cairo's premier hotels. We stayed at the Four Seasons because of it's location in town. We ate dinner at the Oberoi on our last night in Egypt so we could get one last glimpse of the nearby pyramids, and were definitely impressed. Had we known the Oberoi had the history that it does, we may have chosen it for our last night's stay. Though we certainly had no complaints from the Nile Plaza - especially when it came to the view.

The lobby at the Four Seasons had the prettiest and grandest flower arrangements I have ever seen.

They even brought us a Happy Honeymoon cake. We couldn't even begin to eat it all, though it was damn tasty.

Below are views of the Nile at dusk from our room.

Our last dinner in Egypt was at the Mena House Oberoi and had views of the pyramids. Though the food was Indian, I don't think you could ask for a much better ending.

The chandeliers in the hotel, which was built in 1869, were amazing.

Our final view of the pyramids.
