Founded in 1898 by Anna Wolcott Vaile, the Miss Wolcott School for Young Ladies was an exclusive all girls finishing school attended by people such as Mamie Doud Eisenhower (yes that would be the future first lady) and Helen Bonfils (a major Denver philanthropist and patron of the arts). The school apparently had a short run, as it was converted to apartments in the 1920's. It has a lot of unique little features, such as a bridge connecting two of the buildings on the second floor. I live about two blocks from this very eclectic building.
