Another ski town that I haven't skied, but I've driven through countless times on my way to and from Salt Lake. We came up for a summer weekend, did some hiking and hit the Strawberry Hotsprings. Definitely has less of a resort feel than many ski towns in the area, but the scenery is beautiful and the summer climate is idyllic.

Fish Creek Falls, while beautiful was pretty much unphotographable at this time of day. The historic bridge on the other hand, made some fine photos. It was built in 1927 and rebuilt in 1988.
The Rehder Building / First National Bank. The First National Bank of Steamboat Springs was chartered in 1902. This building was constructed in 1905 and was the Bank's home until 1912. In 2006, it was bequeathed to the city of Steamboat springs by the Rehder family and has since become the Steamboat Art Museum.
The Routt County Courthouse was designed by Colorado architect Robert Fuller (Denver City & County Building & Boettcher Theater) and was built in 1922.
While not the most luxurious hotel around, the Bristol was quaint and right downtown. It was built in 1948 by the city's police chief, Everett Bristol. Rooms are small, but the service was good and there was free internet access in the lobby, which was period furnished and very comfortable
I claim no responsibility for the poses in the photos below. I think that's the first time I've donned a cowboy hat since I was 10.
Yampa River Botanic Park. A lovely park containing a host of local flora.
