The Denver Performing Arts Complex, also known as DPAC is a wonderful facility that houses many performing arts venues. The center is the second largest performing arts complex in the country (the first is Lincoln Center in New York) with nine theaters, totaling over 10,000 seats. It hosts, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, The Colorado Ballet, Opera Colorado, The Denver Center Theater Company, Denver Center Attractions, The Denver Center for the Perming Arts and the National Theater Conservatory. What makes it great is that all of these venues are concentrated in one complex right downtown...and parking (while not free) is easy. I can walk from my place depending on the weather. The Ellie Caulkins Opera House is in the Historic Newton Auditorium (1908) and was remodeled in 2005. The theater and acoustics are grand. The Temple Hoyne Buell Theater is another fine venue that catches many touring shows that come through Denver. http://www.denvergov.org/DPAC/HomePage/tabid/385336/Default.aspx.

A sculpture by famed Columbian artist, Fernando Botero located in the DPAC atrium. Botero is known for his impressionistic, well "rolly polly" representations of the human figure. I happen to love these sculptures, though many do not share my opinion.
The complex is an interesting mesh of architectural styles.
Even the parking garage looks interesting at night.
A view of the complex during one of the many events held there.
