Breckenridge. very
quaint little ski town just over an hour outside of Denver. As with most
mountain towns in Colorado, it began as a mining town in the mid 19th
century. Founded by General George E. Spencer for his prospecting company,
the town was named Breckenridge after, then vice president, John Cabell
Breckinridge . I haven't actually skied here, but spent a weekend at a
lovely little B&B just outside of town.
