Breckenridge. very quaint little ski town just over an hour outside of Denver. As with most mountain towns in Colorado, it began as a mining town in the mid 19th century. Founded by General George E. Spencer for his prospecting company, the town was named Breckenridge after, then vice president, John Cabell Breckinridge . I haven't actually skied here, but spent a weekend at a lovely little B&B just outside of town.

Some pics of Kara and a view of the little B & B in which we stayed. Hiking was pretty much right outside the front door..
Myself and pics of the B & B's resident hounds, or "the girls" as I liked to call them.
