Built in 1858, Cafe Tortoni is the oldest Coffee shop in Argentina. Argentina is not a coffee producing nation and hence not known for great coffee, but this is a lovely little restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and a bit of history. Reasonably priced food and yes, coffee. They have nightly Tango shows here for a very reasonable price, though we did not get to see one.

Another great little coffee shop was the Richmond. Built in 1917, it's located right on Florida St, B.A.'s busy pedestrian avenue. it is slightly more formal but still a very reasonable price.
